How to use the incense stick holder

Light the tip of the incense stick and blow out the flame. Then insert the exposed bamboo end into the small opening of the wooden holder, positioning the stick so that the falling ash lands in the long groove as much as possible.

This holder is specifically designed for Indian incense sticks with a bamboo core. Japanese incense sticks without a bamboo core require other holders with appropriately sized openings.
