This traditional incense is produced on Mount Athos in Greece. It is made from high-quality frankincense from Boswellia papyrifera from Ethiopia, refined with a delicate Acacia fragrance. This creates a balanced fragrance composition that combines the classic character of frankincense with gentle floral notes.

Mount Athos is an autonomous monastic republic in northern Greece and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. Orthodox monks live on the peninsula in around twenty monasteries belonging to Greek, Serbian, Bulgarian and Russian traditions. Some of these monasteries continue to produce incense by hand according to traditional recipes.
