Product description

Gum Arabic from Sudan – High-Quality Incense Resin

This natural gum arabic comes from the well-known growing regions of Kordofan in Sudan. It is obtained from Acacia senegal and has been one of Africa's most versatile natural plant gums for centuries. The pale to amber-coloured resin pieces are distinguished by their purity and excellent quality.

In addition to its many uses as a natural plant gum, gum arabic has also long been valued as an incense resin. When burned, it develops a fine, subtle fragrance and can be used either on its own or as an ingredient in traditional incense blends. Thanks to its mild character, it combines particularly well with frankincense, myrrh or benzoin.

In various incense traditions, gum arabic is used for calm, harmonious incense rituals. According to traditional customs, many incense practitioners appreciate this resin for creating a balanced and pleasant atmosphere. These uses are based on cultural and historical traditions.

How to Use

  • Burn on glowing incense charcoal.
  • Also suitable for use with an incense sieve or metal plate.
  • Can be used on its own or as an ingredient in custom incense blends.
